Terms & Conditions

  • All sales are final. Should a cancellation be accepted, which may be withheld for any reason, Rebekka Stange (RS) shall have the right to retain the full deposit.

  • Production will begin upon receipt of 50% non-refundable deposit and artwork approval. Balance is due prior to delivery.

  • Handling covers import duties, taxes and freight costs.

  • Shipping and installation are not included unless noted. Import duties / VAT for international orders are the Buyer’s responsibility.

  • Handmade rugs may vary in size and colour. Edges may not be straight.

  • Modifications are subject for review. Additional charges may incur.

  • Rugs not accepted for delivery within 30 days after notification are subject to storage fees.

  • RS is not liable for delays due to circumstances outside RS’s control.

  • Once cut or installed, rugs with defects/damages will not be accepted for return. Claims must bereported within 24 hours of receipt.


By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Your order will be processed upon receipt of deposit. You will receive an invoice and/or an order

Confirmation by e-mail as soon as you have placed an order.
If you do not receive this e-mail please write to
info@raekki-rugs.com so that we can resend and confirm that your order has been places successfully.

We only accept payments by Bank Transfer. All bank charges are the responsibility of the payer.

For Custom Rugs (Altering the size, colour and material of an existing design):
A 10% non-refundable deposit will be required to customise colours, size and weaving techniques.
A 40% non-refundable deposit will be required to launch the manufacturing process.
+ 50% balance payment before shipping.

For Bespoke Rugs (A unique design, created fort he client):
A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required as a Design Fee.
A 25% non-refundable deposit will be required to launch the production process.
+ 50% balance payment before shipping.

Please note that our rugs are all handmade and therefore there may be slight variations in color or weave. Such inconsistencies are not considered “defects”. We use ARS dyes for accuracy, however colors may vary slightly depending on batch of dye. This is an inherent feature of all hand-dyed textiles.
Edges can also not be straight. Due to variations in computer screens, we cannot guarantee that the colors shown on our website are truly representative of our products.

Custom and bespoke orders are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless there is a manufacturing defect in the rug. Our delivery times are between 3 and 6 months. Production times are dependent on the size and quality selected for your order and may vary due to our production schedule.
The manufacturing process begins as soon as we receive a 50% deposit. If an order is canceled after production has started, the 50% deposit will not be refunded.

Any defective goods must be reported to Räkki Rugs within 7 days of receipt. All complaints must be made in writing and require the approval of the designer and producer Rebekka Stange. Upon investigation, Rebekka Stange may provide an equivalent replacement free of charge. Once cut or installed, carpets with defects/damage will not be taken back.

Shipping and assembly are not included in our prices. On request we will make you an offer. Delivery times are normally 2 to 3 days within Germany and 2 to 7 days outside of Germany. They may vary depending on the chosen mode of transport and customs clearance. Carpets not accepted for delivery within 30 days of notification are subject to storage charges. Räkki Rugs is not responsible for delays due to circumstances beyond Räkki Rugs's control.

8 – VAT
The standard rate of statutory VAT (currently 19%) will be charged on all invoices.
All countries outside the EEC are not charged VAT on our invoices as they have to pay their own VAT rate and duty on import.
