About

Founded 2022 by Rebekka Stange.

Räkki Rugs are high-end, hand-knotted rugs from Nepal that connect traditional handicraft with the inspiration of contemporary art and culture. Characterized by subtle and lively polychromy, unique design and great love for detail.

Through the selection and combination of high-end quality material, traditional craftsmanship, sustainable production and sensitive design, Räkki Rugs creates special rugs that make places extraordinary and pleasant.

Rebekka Stange is founder and designer of Räkki Rugs.
In the design process, her creative search repeatedly encounters the fascination of the unfinished, the provisional and the possible. It is the lively deciption in connection with minimalist and geometric shapes, which is created through imperfection and traces in the creation process.
The design are the result of a thorough manual process.

Räkki Rugs are made exclusivly with natural materials such as Tibetan highland wool, nettle, Chinese silk and Indian silk.

We offer with Räkki Rugs the possibility to design and produce every design according to individual ideas in cooperation with our manufacture in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Because each rug is made by hand, we can adapt it to any location and take into account personal wishes, size and shape. Räkki Rugs ensure that the design always focuses on function and aesthetics aspects and creates texture and pattern as part of a harmonious ambience.

Räkki Rugs succeed in filling a room with warmth and creating a natural atmosphere that contributes to well-being.
